Product Management Intern - Risk Management
About The Position
The Risk Management Product Intern supports the Risk Management Product Department with projects related to products such as vehicle insurance tracking, real estate insurance tracking, and financial recovery solutions offered to lenders. The internship provides hands-on experience and exposure to product management in financial services and lending. Projects may include designing and implementing a product knowledge hub or SharePoint site, developing a monthly product summary report, assessing service-level agreements and tracking capabilities, and aligning standard product packaging with change management needs. This is a 12-week, full-time internship from May 24 through August 13, 2027, for 40 hours per week. The position is based on the Securian campus in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in an undergraduate program, pursuing a degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills.
- Results-driven, with a proven track record of achievement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn internal systems.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
- Use Microsoft Office tools and SharePoint to design and establish a Risk Management Product knowledge hub.
- Inventory current Risk Management reports, identify key metrics, and develop a standardized monthly product summary.
- Assess standard and non-standard service-level agreements across Risk Management products and clients.
- Define metric availability and reporting processes for service-level agreements.
- Assess clients across Risk Management products and services to identify changes needed to align their current state with newly defined product packages.
