The Sr. Software Systems Validation Engineer is responsible for low-level system profiling and performance testing across embedded hardware components, including firmware and image signal processors. The role identifies performance bottlenecks, assesses thermal efficiency, and validates system stability under real-world automotive conditions. It tests firmware and hardware integration across camera models and embedded-system configurations, and conducts long-duration and stress testing to uncover weaknesses. The position works with hardware and firmware engineers on system-level requirements and hardware-software compatibility. It develops Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test setups and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing for embedded software and AI models, using simulated conditions to identify issues before hardware integration and deployment. The engineer validates AI model deployment and integration within firmware across camera hardware configurations and OEM specifications. The role also tests generative AI and computer vision models for accuracy, latency, and robustness in varied environmental conditions, and develops test cases covering model training, deployment, and edge cases. Test automation scripts are written for unit, functional, stress, and end-to-end testing. Domestic and international travel is required approximately 25% of the time.
