Sr. Software Engineer
About The Position
The Sr. Software Engineer designs and implements major components of Credibly’s lending origination, servicing, and reporting system. The role combines hands-on development with mentoring and leading more junior team members. Credibly’s technology uses a microservices architecture built for AWS cloud on an open-source stack, including Python, React, DynamoDB, MySQL, Linux, Docker, Data Robot, large language models, and generative AI. The engineer works with engineering, product, data science, and business stakeholders to develop solutions for online lending and servicing. The role also leads the design and development of software products and enhancements, and reviews code supporting database and software solutions on an enterprise platform hosted on AWS.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, design, and support of software applications in Unix environments.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; six years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Experience with Kanban agile tools and methodologies.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles for web applications.
- Experience in DevOps and MLOps.
Responsibilities
- Work with engineering, product, and data science teams and business stakeholders to create effective solutions supporting online lending and servicing.
- Lead the design and development of new software products and major enhancements to existing software for clients and business partners.
- Analyze, vet, and review code supporting standard database and software solutions on an enterprise software platform hosted on AWS.
- Mentor and lead more junior team members while contributing hands-on to software development.
