Sr. Software Engineer

Rooms To Go Corporate (Our Company)•Seffner, FL

About The Position

Rooms To Go is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and modernize enterprise applications that support its supply chain. These business-critical systems enable inventory planning, purchasing, replenishment, supplier collaboration, and operational decision-making, helping ensure products are available where and when needed to meet customer demand. The engineer will partner with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations, and Product teams to develop scalable, reliable software that improves inventory availability, automates business processes, reduces operational costs, and supports continuous improvement. The focus is on internal business systems rather than customer-facing websites or e-commerce features. The role includes application design and development, integrations, database work, technical documentation, production support, and mentoring other developers.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience building full-stack enterprise business applications.
  • Strong full-stack development experience with JavaScript, modern web frameworks such as Vue.js and/or React, and backend development using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
  • Experience designing and developing backend APIs, business services, integrations, and data-driven applications.
  • Experience building and supporting enterprise software, internal business systems, operational platforms, workflow tools, dashboards, reporting applications, or similar business-critical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, including data modeling, SQL queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and application data access patterns.
  • Experience translating complex business processes and workflows into scalable, maintainable software solutions, including support for systems where accuracy, reliability, and business continuity are critical.
  • Strong understanding of API design, authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, logging, and secure coding best practices.
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews, as well as Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor other developers, contribute to technical decision-making, and produce clear technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to balance engineering quality, business priorities, operational urgency, and delivery timelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct supply chain experience is highly desirable, though not required.
  • Interest in learning business domains such as inventory management, replenishment, purchasing, purchase order management, sales demand, demand planning, backorders, stockouts, lead times, fulfillment, and shipment prioritization.
  • Experience with supply chain optimization, cost reduction, process automation, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience with enterprise supply chain technologies, including ERP, WMS, and integrations with internal and third-party business systems.
  • Experience with operational decision support, including exception-based workflows, reporting, dashboards, and business process visibility.
  • Experience with cloud, DevOps, and AI development tools such as Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitHub Copilot, or Azure AI.
  • Experience with enterprise business systems such as ERP, WMS, supply chain, purchasing, inventory, order management, forecasting, replenishment, business process automation, reporting, analytics, or operational software.
  • Experience with modern application architecture, including microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), Docker, containerized applications, and enterprise application development.
  • Experience with application monitoring, modernization, and integration tools or work, including Application Insights, Datadog, New Relic, modernizing legacy .NET applications, and integrating third-party systems and APIs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack supply chain applications using JavaScript, Vue.js and/or React, C#, and .NET Core.
  • Develop business applications that improve inventory availability, purchasing, replenishment, shipment planning, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Build and enhance software that automates business processes, streamlines workflows, reduces manual effort, supports smarter purchasing decisions, and reduces inventory shortages and operational costs.
  • Design and maintain backend APIs, business services, integrations, and application logic using C# and .NET Core.
  • Develop front-end applications for inventory visibility, purchasing workflows, exception management, approvals, prioritization, reporting, and operational decision-making.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize relational databases and data models supporting products, vendors, inventory, purchase orders, sales demand, lead times, and fulfillment.
  • Integrate enterprise applications with ERP, warehouse management systems (WMS), supplier platforms, reporting tools, third-party systems, and internal business applications.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, Sales, Product, QA, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
  • Participate in application architecture, technical design, and code reviews, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with long-term business objectives.
  • Mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and knowledge sharing, while promoting engineering best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including API documentation, system architecture, data flows, implementation decisions, and deployment or support guides.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to improve application stability and reliability.
