About The Position

Science, Engineering, Management Solutions LLC (Sem-Sol), based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help meet demand for work on directed energy and pulsed power systems. The role calls for a collaborative professional who works closely with others and communicates effectively. Developing documentation is an integral part of developing software. The engineer will develop and document software for controlling directed energy systems and subsystems, implement a software repository and formal software configuration control, present work at design reviews and conferences, and interact daily with scientists, engineers, technicians, and program managers. This position is subject to Export Control compliance requirements and requires a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15. An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in software engineering or a related field from an accredited college.
At least 5 years of experience working on software control systems.
Working knowledge of software used to program embedded microcontrollers, programmable logic controllers, and embedded computers.
Working knowledge of C# for developing user interfaces.
Previous experience developing software development plans.
Experience working in a research, development, or prototyping environment.
Must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15: a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Active security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Master of Science degree in software engineering or a related field from an accredited college.
At least 10 years of experience working on directed energy and/or pulsed power projects.
Active Top Secret security clearance.
