About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer builds software solutions for business applications as a hands-on technical lead within a high-functioning Agile team. The role guides technical delivery for assigned projects throughout the development lifecycle and across presentation, business logic, and data layers. It includes application design, development, and testing, using knowledge of applicable technologies, tools, and existing designs. The engineer provides technical guidance to less experienced staff on complex technical problems and ensures solutions meet quality, security, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

At least 5 years of software development or engineering experience.
Experience in a polyglot environment using multiple languages, including C#, Golang, Python, and TypeScript.
Experience with modern UI web development; Angular is preferred, with React or Vue as alternatives.
Strong database design experience across technologies such as SQL Server, Snowflake, and MongoDB.
Azure experience, including AKS, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Synapse, and Data Factory.
Experience building distributed and scalable applications using REST services and messaging technologies.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, Harness, or Jenkins.
Strong understanding of authorization and authentication.
Data streaming or messaging experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of domain-driven design, software design patterns, and design principles.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS, or a related technical field; alternatively, at least 4 years of equivalent professional experience and a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to work effectively with AI tools and maintain an open, curious approach to emerging technologies.
Strong communication skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver code for new features and enhancements in an Agile environment.
Serve as the hands-on technical lead for assigned projects, coordinating implementation across contributors and driving delivery from discovery through deployment with business stakeholders and project managers.
Deliver unit and automated tests with code to demonstrate correctness, robustness, and scalability.
Interface with third-party data vendors to consume their APIs.
Provide innovative ideas and solutions in a changing environment.
Develop user-facing interfaces using RESTful APIs and modern frontend frameworks.
Acquire business-domain knowledge and apply it to automated solutions.
Address issues and mitigate risks, while communicating status to business stakeholders, IT leaders, and affected IT teams.
