About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a music-loving Senior Sales Associate to create welcoming customer experiences and help customers find instruments and gear suited to their musical interests. The role combines sales, product expertise, customer relationship building, merchandising, store operations, and team leadership. As a keyholding team member, the Senior Sales Associate may be asked to open or close the store.

Requirements

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
• A proven track record in sales and ability to exceed sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to influence and inspire others to achieve goals.
• Flexibility to work additional hours if needed and work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers find suitable instruments and gear.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets by recommending complementary instruments and accessories through upselling and cross-selling.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve product knowledge across the team.
• Build strong customer relationships and support fellow Associates in developing relationships within the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members and support them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
