About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a passionate, customer-focused Sr. Sales Associate to help customers explore their musical interests and find instruments and equipment that suit their needs. The role combines sales, product knowledge, relationship building, merchandising, store operations, and leadership support. As a keyholding member of the store, the Sr. Sales Associate may open and close the store as needed. The position calls for flexibility to work additional hours, nights, and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
• A proven track record in sales and ability to exceed sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers find instruments and equipment that meet their needs.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets by recommending complementary products and accessories.
• Maintain strong product knowledge and help improve the product knowledge of other associates.
• Build customer relationships and help fellow associates develop relationships within the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members, supporting them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
