About The Position

Steadily is hiring a Senior Property Claims Adjuster who is the very best at what they do. You'll be surrounded by team members who are the best at what they do, which will just make you even better. You'll be responsible for guiding our customers through the most complex, high-severity claims with empathy, accuracy, and speed — making sure we create a fast, easy, and effortless experience even when the stakes are highest. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Overland Park, KS.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience adjusting P&C insurance claims, with a track record handling large, complex property losses over $100k.
  • Possess an adjuster license.
  • Thrive under intense pressure and can manage a high-stakes caseload with precision.
  • Want to make the leap into an earlier-stage tech company to rapidly accelerate your growth.
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and hustle — not looking for a traditional 9-5 job.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in homeowners, condo, and landlord insurance is a plus.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • AIC and/or ARM.
  • Prior project experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Steadily approach to large-loss claims handling, helping create a fast, easy, and effortless experience for our customers on claims that matter most.
  • Manage a caseload of large and complex property losses exceeding $100,000, from initial assignment through resolution.
  • Request appraisals, estimates, cause & origin reports, and various other reports to assist in the investigation of the claim.
  • Investigate the origin and cause of claims by contacting the appropriate parties including insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, special investigation unit, law enforcement, and other adjusters.
  • Scope, evaluate, and negotiate high-severity property damage, including total losses, structural damage, and loss of rent where applicable.
  • Evaluate coverage, identify subrogation potential, and partner with counsel as needed.
  • Set and maintain accurate reserves on high-exposure files.
