About The Position

The Sr. Product Owner - Commercial Applications is a strategic partner and delivery leader responsible for translating complex business needs into scalable, high-impact IT solutions. This role drives product vision and roadmap execution, collaborating across business units, IT teams, and senior leadership to deliver value-driven outcomes. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of Product Owner experience developing or supporting sales focused digital applications.
Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy and end-user feedback into actionable product roadmaps.
Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Scrum methodology.
Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, effort, and risk, ensuring sprint delivery is tightly aligned with organizational objectives.
Define and track success metrics to measure adoption, performance, and impact of delivered functionality.
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), validating that solutions meet stakeholder needs and are ready for deployment.
Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for IT applications and systems, including troubleshooting and escalation management.
Mentor and guide junior Product Owners and Business Analysts, promoting best practices in Agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and solution design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, from end users to executive leadership, to gather requirements and define project scope.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze data, and provide innovative, scalable solutions with a keen attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
Experience with integration projects involving Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar enterprise systems within energy or industrial businesses.
Working knowledge of data analytics tools or SQL for business reporting and decision support.
Demonstrated experience working within the energy sector, including familiarity with industry-specific processes and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for one or more strategic IT products, refining the product backlog, prioritizing features, and ensuring the delivery of value in alignment with business objectives.
Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle - from discovery and requirements gathering to release planning and post-launch support.
Partner with and collaborate with business leaders to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for technology-driven process improvement.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, including workshops, interviews, roadmap reviews, and use case development, translating business needs into actionable user stories and backlog items.
Serve as the primary liaison between business units, IT teams, and third-party vendors, maintaining clear communication and shared understanding of priorities.
