Sr. AI Product Owner

Sphera•US Remote, IN
•$127,000 - $203,000

About The Position

The Sr. AI Product Owner owns the AI Center of Excellence roadmap and portfolio end to end, from intake, feasibility assessment, prioritization, sequencing, and delivery milestones through measurement of adoption and business value. The role acts as product owner for AI CoE deliverables, including agents, enablement assets, internal tools, and shared AI capabilities, and maintains a consistent view of solution status, cost, return, and portfolio health. The position presents roadmap and program outcomes to the Executive Leadership Team and program sponsors, manages the program's operating rhythm, and aligns AI initiatives with corporate OKRs and departmental needs. It also owns the measurement framework and governance interface with InfoSec, Legal, and Compliance; oversees delivery partners and vendors; and ensures Sphera is prepared to own partner-delivered components after engagements end. The role works closely with the Senior AI Enablement Lead, AI CoE architects, and Platform Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Own the AI CoE roadmap end to end, including intake, evaluation, prioritization, sequencing, and delivery milestones across AI initiatives and pods.
  • Run AI opportunity intake, assessing feasibility, impact, effort, and risk, and make transparent prioritization decisions.
  • Maintain a consistent portfolio view of solution status, cost, and return, refreshed on a predictable cadence.
  • Act as product owner for AI CoE deliverables, including backlogs, requirements, acceptance criteria, and release sequencing for agents, enablement assets, internal tooling, and shared AI capabilities.
  • Present roadmap, portfolio health, adoption, and business value to the Executive Leadership Team and program sponsors; quantify cautiously, surface risks, and bring decisions.
  • Define and own measurement across activity, capability, and business-outcome tiers, including cost per outcome and ROI, while avoiding vanity and surveillance metrics.
  • Manage delivery partners and vendors through defined scope and statements of work, ownership, communications, content-review turnaround, milestone gates, and off-ramp terms.
  • Ensure each partner-delivered component has a named internal owner shadowing it from the start to support transition to Sphera ownership.
  • Tie the roadmap to corporate OKRs and departmental needs, and work with each function to define success.
  • Own the governance interface with InfoSec, Legal, and Compliance, including acceptable use, risk classification, access models, and audit requirements.
  • Run the program's operating rhythm, including steering meetings, status updates, risk and dependency management, budget and license forecasting, and the decision log.
  • Incorporate field signals, usage data, surveys, and champion input into roadmap and prioritization changes.
  • Partner with the Senior AI Enablement Lead on enablement and with AI CoE architects and Platform Engineering on technical dependencies and sequencing.
