About The Position

This Sr. Product Marketing Specialist position is a remote role within the United States, focusing on Commercial U.S. (Downstream) and Global Portfolio (Upstream) for select product lines within the Cardinal Health Brand Surgical Essentials category. The role involves supporting the development of global product strategy, assisting international commercial marketers with regional tactics, and executing tactics to achieve performance targets in the Commercial U.S. region. Product Marketing at Cardinal Health is responsible for defining product and market strategy by assessing customer needs, market conditions, and competition, and implementing this strategy through product development, commercialization, and monitoring to drive customer loyalty, sales growth, and profitability. This includes life cycle management, customer need identification, market research, product/service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding, and distribution.

Requirements

  • Financial acumen with an ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritization to deliver on business commitments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or medical product management experience
  • Experience with Oracle Agile and SAP

Responsibilities

  • Translates market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business.
  • Utilize strong financial acumen and analytical skills, understands and can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications.
  • Support and launch commercial tactics such as collateral development, content management, and tradeshow planning.
  • Accountable for gaining and driving cross functional support from all stakeholders.
  • Execute primary and secondary research to drive portfolio/product decisions and identify market opportunities for preferred product offerings in targeted segments and channels.
  • Support assessment of manufacturers and suppliers to optimize product sourcing mix and portfolio profitability.
  • Work closely with global, regional, and cross-functional partners to drive strategic portfolio plans, global manufacturing and supply chain alignment, global commercial enablement, and franchise brand management.
  • Understand and manage product supply, quality, labeling, and specifications for existing products.
  • Ensure that promotional, launch, and marketing activities align with overall portfolio strategy.
