Sr. Product Manager (Utilities Vertical)

Zeitview•Boston, MA
•$160,000 - $180,000

About The Position

Zeitview is seeking a customer-focused product manager to serve as its resident expert for the Utilities vertical. The role owns problem definition: understanding enterprise customers’ needs, motivations, and business value, then translating customer and market insights into clear, prioritized requirements for platform product managers and engineering teams. The position also owns competitive intelligence and metrics for measuring product and strategy success, and is focused on growth, including developing business cases and go-to-market strategies for expanded offerings. The role works closely with customers and sales, but does not own the product backlog, write technical specifications, or ship software directly. It partners with solutions-side product managers to negotiate how and when vertical priorities are addressed. It involves regular enterprise customer calls and travel to customer sites and inspection locations, as well as cross-functional coordination without direct reports. During the first six months, the person will define success measures for the Utilities vertical tied to revenue, retention, and customer outcomes; embed with three to five strategic accounts to understand their workflows and needs; conduct structured discovery and synthesize findings into a prioritized problem set; advocate for engineering capacity with data and customer evidence; write requirements suitable for engineering and reusable across the platform; and build internal credibility as an expert in the utilities industry. Candidates must already be located in Boston/New England or the San Francisco Bay Area.
