Sr. Product Manager (Utilities Vertical)

Zeitview•San Francisco, CA
•$160,000 - $180,000

About The Position

Zeitview is seeking a Senior Product Manager to serve as the voice of customers and resident industry expert for its Utilities vertical. The role owns problem definition: understanding enterprise customers’ needs, their reasons for needing solutions, and the value those solutions offer. It involves customer discovery, relationship-building alongside sales, synthesizing market signals, and translating insights into prioritized requirements for platform product managers and engineering teams. The role also owns competitive intelligence and success metrics, and is expected to develop business cases and go-to-market strategies for expanding offerings. It defines the “what” and “why” and works with solutions-side product managers to negotiate the “how” and “when”; it does not own a product backlog or ship software directly. In the first six months, the manager will define success for the Utilities vertical in terms of revenue, retention, and customer outcomes; embed with three to five strategic accounts to understand their inspection workflows, pain points, and decision-making; conduct structured discovery using interviews, operational ride-alongs, competitive analysis, and usage data; and synthesize findings into a prioritized problem set. The role will advocate for vertical priorities with platform product managers using data and customer evidence, write requirements that can guide engineering while serving platform-wide needs, and build internal credibility as Zeitview’s leading Utilities industry expert. The position involves regular enterprise customer calls and travel to customer sites and inspection locations. It is an individual-contributor role that coordinates across functions and informally guides others, without direct reports. Zeitview seeks someone already located in Boston/New England or the San Francisco Bay Area. The company describes its mission as accelerating the global transition to renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure through advanced inspection solutions.
