Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Computer Science, or a related field ( Master’s degree preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the IoT or connected devices space
  • Strong understanding of hardware and embedded software development processes
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy considerations for connected devices.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 productivity and business applications ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint , Power BI, etc.)
  • Comfort o n commercial construction sites and experience using power tools

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development : Develop the DEWALT ConTech Connectivity & Network Strategy with input from C ategory, T ools P roduct M anagement and S ales team members
  • Market Opportunity Analysis : Familiarize with industry trends, assess market opportunities, develop connected t ools & asset deployment workflows across the different C&I trades, benchmark competitors and perform competitive gap analysis
  • Product Planning : Build and execute the connectivity and network product roadmap ; Partner with Tools Product Manage rs to develop end-user-focused product requirements for connected tool s and w ork closely with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and provide guidance on product development
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration through the Phase Gate P rocess : D irectly support new product development ( NPD ) and connected product derivative ( DMOD ) program executio n f or integrated TOOL CONNECT+ programs
  • Customer Engagement & Voice of Customer (VOC) : Conduct regular site visits to understand end-user needs and pain points related to connectivity ; assist Sales and C ustomer Success team members in resolving connectivity related issues in the field
  • Leadership Rhythms & Communications : Provide direct input and support for leadership rhythms and presentations , including monthly business reviews (MBR) , NPD launch r eadiness reviews, C onnectivity & Network strategy read-outs , etc.
