About The Position

TT Electronics is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to develop advanced power conversion products for demanding industrial, aerospace, defense, and high-reliability applications. The engineer will lead mechanical design efforts from concept through production and collaborate with electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, quality professionals, and customers to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. The role includes technical leadership and mentoring less experienced engineers, along with contributing to product innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
At least 8 years of mechanical design engineering experience.
Experience developing products from concept through production.
Proficiency with 3D CAD and engineering documentation.
Strong knowledge of thermal, structural, and manufacturability design principles.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Must meet ITAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience in power electronics, aerospace, defense, industrial, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and development of power conversion products and assemblies.
Create 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Perform thermal, structural, vibration, and tolerance analyses.
Support product development activities, including prototyping, testing, and qualification.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost objectives.
Participate in customer technical discussions and design reviews.
Drive continuous improvement and product optimization initiatives.
Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
