About The Position

As a Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer in the Growth Turbofan Turbines group, you will join a multidisciplinary team developing a new family of gas turbine engines. You will report to the Sr Mechanical Design Engineering Manager and work from Honeywell Aerospace’s Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid schedule. The new engines are intended to be lighter, quieter, more powerful, and capable of operating on 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The role focuses on mechanical design, analysis, lifing, and testing support for gas turbine components, including new designs, redesigns, and resolution of field-related issues. You will perform advanced stress analysis, mentor others, contribute to Model-Based Systems Engineering processes, and work with an integrated team on axial turbine design and analysis. The position also supports engine and functional testing for certification or root cause and corrective action efforts, as well as continuous process improvement.
