Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

Medtronic•Newton, MA
•Onsite

About The Position

The Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer will work in Medtronic’s CAS Research & Technology organization, supporting the initial design of electrophysiology devices used with the Affera Mapping and Ablation System. This high-impact role helps define the design direction for future catheter and sheath products used to treat cardiac arrhythmias. The engineer will apply theoretical and practical engineering fundamentals and work hands-on in a dynamic environment, with opportunities to learn about cardiac electrophysiology. The role includes designing mechanical system elements for cardiac electrophysiology catheters and other Class II and III devices, developing processes for high-volume assembly, and collaborating across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams. The position follows Medtronic’s minimum four-day-per-week onsite work model.
