Cars Commerce is hiring a Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications to own its finance and ERP platform and partner with Finance on the tools it uses. The role will help determine the future direction of PeopleSoft Financials and evaluate a possible move to Oracle Fusion, including module scope, phases, vendors, cost, risk, and impact on Finance. The position also owns the audit posture, technical architecture, integrations, and controls across the financial applications portfolio, including HCM and Workday, while partnering with Finance and HR leadership on business processes and priorities. Near-term priorities include replacing the tax platform, adding Canada multicurrency, and delivering regulatory changes such as annual 1099 updates. The role leads a small core team and a managed service provider (MSP), oversees vendor and license spending, and is expected to remain hands-on about 25% of the time. It will establish sprint-based planning and clear prioritization criteria, manage a blended onshore/offshore delivery model, and ensure business-facing and compliance-sensitive work remains onshore. The position owns SOX and IT general controls for financial systems, works directly with internal and external auditors, and leads remediation of findings. It oversees security architecture, role-based access, identity governance, and continuity planning in partnership with security and infrastructure. It also owns integration architecture across ERP, HCM, tax, banking, and adjacent systems, and the technical architecture, integrations, and SOX controls for Workday and HCM. The role will help define appropriate uses of AI and automation in ERP and finance workflows while retaining human review where audit requires it.
