About The Position

The Cloud Capacity Planning team ensures Cisco’s cloud platforms have the compute, storage, and network capacity customers need in the right region at the right time. The team translates demand from sales, product, and engineering into confirmed supply with cloud service providers (CSPs), helping keep customer launches, migrations, and maintenance windows on track while managing cloud spend responsibly. The team has 7 members and analysts across the US and Canada and is introducing AI-powered forecasting into cloud planning. The Sr. Manager will build and maintain rolling capacity forecasts across CSPs, regions, workloads, and resource types to support investment and growth decisions worldwide. The role compares demand from sales pipeline, bookings, and product roadmaps against available supply, then works with CSPs on reservations. It collaborates with sales on realistic lead times, engineering on capacity protection during maintenance windows, and FinOps on reservation reconciliation and cost management. The role also mentors capacity planners and introduces AI-enabled tools to improve planning speed and accuracy. Success is measured by sharper forecasts, on-time deliveries, and clear ownership and plans for every capacity gap.
