Cisco•San Jose, CA
•$174,600 - $274,400

About The Position

Cisco’s Cloud Capacity Planning team ensures its cloud platforms have the compute, storage, and network capacity customers need in the right region and at the right time. The team turns demand from sales, product, and engineering into confirmed supply with cloud service providers (CSPs), supporting customer launches, migrations, and maintenance windows while managing cloud spend responsibly. The team consists of seven people and analysts across the United States and Canada, and is bringing AI-powered forecasting into cloud planning. The Sr. Manager will build and maintain rolling capacity forecasts by CSP, region, workload, and resource type to support worldwide investment and growth decisions. The role compares sales pipeline, bookings, and product roadmap demand with available supply, coordinates reservations with CSPs, and partners with sales, engineering, and FinOps to manage lead times, capacity during maintenance windows, reservation reconciliation, and costs. The manager will mentor capacity planners and introduce AI-enabled tools to improve planning speed and accuracy. Success is measured by forecast quality, on-time delivery, and having a clear owner and plan for every capacity gap.
