About The Position

Hill Bros Logistics is seeking a Capacity Manager to lead Capacity Coordinators and Carrier Sales Representatives. The role combines sales, account management, and operations leadership. The manager coaches the team, shapes pricing, and grows the carrier network to support customer needs. The position is based in Omaha, Nebraska, with a generally Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and about 10% travel as business needs require.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of proven team management experience leading two or more people.
• Comfort with carrier analytics, market data, and pricing decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to coach, negotiate, and present confidently.
• Self-motivation, accountability, persistence, and an ability to contribute new ideas.

Nice To Haves

• Logistics sales experience.
• Experience with TMW Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree; equivalent work experience is also considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coach the team to build strong carrier relationships, conduct account reviews, and provide exceptional service.
• Use carrier analytics and market data to guide negotiations and purchasing decisions.
• Track market trends and seasonality to set pricing by market on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles.
• Research prospective carriers, generate leads, and develop lasting carrier partnerships.
• Track and trace carriers to support a 100% on-time pickup and delivery target.
• Liaise between Account Managers and the Capacity team to align available capacity with customer needs.
• Identify opportunities to automate, streamline processes, and improve the carrier experience.
