About The Position

The Sr. Loan Consultant supports the Branch Manager by overseeing efficient branch operations and ensuring staff properly perform operational functions. The role helps create an atmosphere of trust, service, security, and satisfaction for customers and staff. It involves supporting branch goals, making or recommending lending decisions, processing and closing consumer loans, collecting delinquent accounts, developing community relationships, selling products and services, and helping maintain customer satisfaction and service quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
More than five years of consumer finance or related experience.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient working knowledge of industry or related-industry lending software, Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or bachelor's degree.
Bilingual Spanish/English.

Responsibilities

Assist with managing and motivating staff to meet branch profitability, volume, lending, credit quality, collections, and expense goals.
Make loan decisions within established lending limits or recommend loan decisions.
Process and close consumer loans.
Collect accounts in varying stages of delinquency.
Assist the Branch Manager with developing business relationships within the community.
Sell products and services to meet sales goals.
Help customers implement solutions and monitor overall customer satisfaction.
Assist the Branch Manager with hiring, staffing, training, performance reviews, and terminations as applicable.
Ensure a high quality of customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
