Sr. iOS Engineer
About The Position
Adobe is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to help shape its flagship mobile application. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining user-facing features, collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, and contributing across the mobile technology stack. The engineer will develop and maintain iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C/C++, and iOS frameworks, integrating with RESTful APIs. The position also contributes to software architecture, product roadmap discussions, platform technology evaluation, and improvements to architecture, testing, and service integrations. Requirements
- 10+ years of Software Engineering experience, specializing in mobile applications.
- Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with experience in SwiftUI.
- Familiarity with C++ or willingness to learn it.
- Solid understanding of UIKit, Cocoa Touch, and Xcode.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, taking on multiple roles with autonomy and ownership.
- Experience with team-based development using modern source control systems such as Git/GitHub.
- Skill integrating REST and/or GraphQL for network communication.
- Proficiency using developer tools such as Instruments to diagnose memory and performance issues.
- Strong grasp of architectural patterns such as MVC and MVVM, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
- Excellent communication skills and a record of effective work in multifunctional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C/C++, iOS frameworks, and RESTful APIs.
- Design and implement large user-facing features while contributing to overall software architecture.
- Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with others to define the product roadmap and assess new platform technologies.
- Recommend improvements to app architecture, testing processes, and service integrations.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to support long-term stability and scalability.
