About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a trusted partner to the Executive Director of Human Resources and plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the HR department. This position is responsible for independently managing a broad range of HR functions, ensuring operational excellence, and driving HR initiatives from start to finish. The Senior HR Generalist oversees recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, leave management, HRIS administration and HR projects. This role requires a highly organized, proactive HR professional who can manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and serve as a resource for employees and managers across the organization.

  • 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including recruitment, benefits administration, leave management, employee relations, HR operations, and HR compliance.
  • Experience administering employee leaves, including FMLA, PFML, ADA, and Workers' Compensation coordination.
  • Experience coordinating Open Enrollment and working with benefits brokers and vendors.
  • Experience using HRIS systems; Paycor experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience generating HR reports and supporting HR analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating the selection process.
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a timely, consistent, and positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate all pre-employment activities, including background checks, offer letters, and onboarding requirements.
  • Lead new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth transition and successful employee experience.
  • Track recruitment activity and hiring metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and process benefit enrollments and qualifying life event changes.
  • Coordinate the annual Open Enrollment process, including employee communications and enrollment support.
  • Partner with benefit brokers, retirement vendors, payroll, and insurance carriers to resolve employee benefit issues.
  • Manage and track all employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, PFML, parental leave, military leave, personal leave, and other applicable leave programs, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data within Paycor.
  • Respond to day-to-day HR inquiries
  • Maintain employee files and ensure HR documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant.
  • Coordinate the performance management process by tracking review timelines, following up with managers, monitoring completion of evaluations, and maintaining related documentation, including job descriptions.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and process employee transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and separations.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc HR reports and dashboards for leadership.
  • Support HR compliance activities, audits, record retention, and regulatory reporting.
