About The Position
Bedrock at Sarkeys Energy Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Senior Food Service Worker / Assistant Supervisor to support operations in a fast-paced dining environment. Operating under general supervision, this position performs a range of food service duties, including food preparation, production, cash handling, and customer service, with an emphasis on quality, safety, and sanitation. As a key support role to supervisory staff, the position helps coordinate daily workflow, guides team members, and ensures operational standards are consistently met. The role requires attention to detail, leadership capability, and a commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience. The work schedule varies based on business needs. The position is essential and may require work during inclement weather or campus closure, and on home football game days. Travel may be required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or graduation from culinary school.
- 12 months of restaurant or customer service experience.
- Ability to obtain a Food Handlers License.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food according to recipes and ensure optimal food quality from preparation through serving.
- Handle cash, including operating a register.
- Order food products based on consumption and inventory records.
- Oversee and maintain inventory records for all items.
- Determine work priorities and assign work to Food Service Workers and student employees.
- Perform duties as needed to fulfill the functions of the position.
