About The Position

Bedrock at Sarkeys Energy Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Senior Food Service Worker / Assistant Supervisor to support operations in a fast-paced dining environment. Working under general supervision, this position performs food preparation and production, cash handling, and customer service duties, with emphasis on quality, safety, and sanitation. As a key support to supervisory staff, the role helps coordinate daily workflow, guide team members, and ensure operational standards are consistently met. The position is essential and may be required to work during inclement weather or campus closures, as well as on home football game days. Travel may be required. The work schedule varies based on business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or graduation from culinary school.
• 12 months of restaurant or customer service experience.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handlers License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to recipes.
• Ensure food quality from preparation through serving.
• Handle cash, including operating a register.
• Order food products based on consumption and inventory records.
• Oversee and maintain inventory records for all items.
• Determine work priorities and assign work to Food Service Workers and student employees.
• Perform other duties as needed to fulfill the position's functions.
