About The Position

Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Electrical System Design team develops electronics, integration approaches, and engineering solutions for life-saving implantable cardiac devices and associated external systems. The Senior Electrical Engineering Manager contributes to the functional strategy and turns it into actionable team plans, anticipating future product needs and identifying capability, expertise, and infrastructure gaps. The role balances program delivery with long-term functional strength and aligns technical priorities and team capabilities with business needs. The manager leads 10–15 engineers, from entry-level engineers to experienced technical leaders and subject matter experts, supporting multiple product platforms and concurrent development programs. The team works across the full product lifecycle, from architecture and requirements through circuit and PCB design, firmware and ASIC integration, characterization, verification, manufacturing transfer, and post-market support. The manager is accountable for technical execution, organizational health, and employee engagement, while developing technical talent and leadership capability and aligning resources and commitments with business priorities. The position is based in Mounds View, Minnesota, and requires working onsite a minimum of five days per week. The team delivers high-reliability, safety-critical electrical designs and operates in accordance with applicable internal procedures, regulatory expectations, and external standards, including ISO 14708 and IEC 60601.
