About The Position

The Senior Electrical Engineering Manager leads the Electrical System Design team within Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm Management portfolio. The team develops high-reliability, safety-critical electrical designs for active implantable cardiac devices and associated external systems, supporting multiple product platforms and concurrent development programs across the full product lifecycle—from architecture and requirements through circuit and PCB design, firmware and ASIC integration, characterization, verification, manufacturing transfer, and post-market support. The manager helps define the Electrical System Design functional strategy and translates it into actionable plans, anticipating product needs and identifying gaps in expertise and infrastructure. The role balances program delivery with long-term functional capability, and is accountable for technical execution, organizational health, and employee engagement. The manager leads a team of 10–15 engineers, develops technical talent and leadership capability, and partners with program management, R&D, and cross-functional leaders to align resources and commitments with business priorities. The position is based in Mounds View, Minnesota, and requires working onsite a minimum of five days per week. The role supports compliance with internal procedures, regulatory expectations, and applicable medical device standards, including ISO 14708 and IEC 60601.
