About The Position

ADP is hiring a Sr. Director, Product Management – Compliance Integrations & Client Onboarding. This role is for someone energized by transforming a market-leading product used by over a million clients, thriving at the intersection of innovation and operational excellence, and who is a technologist first and foremost. You will shape the future of ADP’s Compliance Integrations. As Senior Director of Product Management, Integrations & Client Onboarding, you will own the end-to-end product strategy for how SmartCompliance exchanges data with client ERP systems — inbound (receiving payroll and HR data) and outbound (returning compliance results, filings, and reporting) — and for the onboarding journey that brings new clients to live, productive use of the platform. You will set the vision, define the roadmap, and lead a team of PMs to deliver measurable outcomes: faster time-to-value, higher integration reliability, and lower cost to onboard. You will partner closely with engineering, architecture, client services, and sales to make integrations a competitive differentiator.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with 4+ years in a senior or director-level role leading a PM team.
  • Deep expertise in enterprise software integrations — ERP, HCM, or payroll systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to set product strategy, develop roadmaps, and tie product decisions to measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong command of integration patterns: REST/SOAP APIs, EDI, flat-file batch processing, event-driven architecture, and iPaaS approaches.
  • Track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder product initiatives in a matrixed enterprise environment.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence — able to distill complexity and build stakeholder alignment at all levels.
  • Experience leading and developing product teams; proven ability to hire, coach, and retain top PM talent.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience building or owning integration products for SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft, or Oracle is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy for all inbound data integration paths from client ERP and HCM systems into SmartCompliance.
  • Define and evolve canonical data schemas, file formats (fixed-width, delimited, XML, JSON), and API specs for inbound payroll, HR, and org data feeds.
  • Build a platform-level integration framework that reduces per-client integration effort and enables a self-service or low-touch path for tier-2 and tier-3 clients.
  • Establish integration reliability, SLA, and error-recovery standards; partner with engineering to track them as first-class product metrics.
  • Own the product strategy for returning compliance outputs — tax filings, wage payment acknowledgments, registration confirmations, garnishment disbursement results, and ACA forms — back into client systems of record.
  • Drive standardization of outbound feeds and APIs so enterprise clients can consume SmartCompliance results natively in their GL, payroll, and HR platforms without manual re-entry.
  • Define the product direction for real-time event-driven outbound notifications vs. scheduled batch delivery, and align with platform capabilities.
  • Own the product experience for new client onboarding — from contract signature through first live compliance run — with a mandate to reduce time-to-value.
  • Design scalable onboarding workflows that automate data validation, integration setup, configuration, and testing across SmartCompliance product lines (Employment Tax, Garnishments, ACA, Tax Registration).
  • Define and own product features that support implementation teams: guided setup wizards, data mapping tools, pre-flight validation, exception management, and implementation dashboards.
  • Build feedback loops from client services and implementation data into a continuous onboarding product improvement cycle.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers spanning integrations and onboarding domains; set clear expectations for outcomes, ways of working, and career development.
  • Establish and champion a product discipline culture: continuous discovery, hypothesis-driven development, and outcome-over-output thinking.
  • Build strong partnerships with Engineering, UX, Client Services, Sales, and Enterprise Architecture; operate as a thought leader and connector across the organization.
  • Represent the integrations and onboarding product surface in executive and client-facing forums.
  • Own key product health metrics including: integration onboarding time, data feed error rate, first-run compliance pass rate, implementation cycle time, and CSAT for the onboarding experience.
  • Establish OKRs aligned to business outcomes; report progress transparently with executive stakeholders.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture using delivery data, client telemetry, and NPS/CSAT signals.
