SPS Commerce
•$76,700 - $118,900•Remote

About The Position

SPS Commerce is a leading provider of cloud-based supply chain management solutions, serving a global network of retail trading partners. We foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where innovation and continuous improvement are highly valued. Join SPS Commerce and be part of a dynamic team that's transforming the global retail supply chain! Buyers find and evaluate SPS Commerce across a growing set of surfaces: paid search and social, Google, AI answer engines, Reddit, G2, and YouTube. No single person owns visibility across all of them today. This role will. The Senior Digital Marketing Manager owns the paid and organic channels that carry a buyer from first discovery to qualified lead, helping set the strategy, controlling the budget, deciding how we work with agencies, and carrying the number. This is a senior individual contributor role that leads through agencies and cross-functional teams rather than direct reports, reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years in digital marketing, demand generation, or growth at a B2B SaaS, fintech, or technology company, including direct ownership of a paid media budget and an organic search program.
  • Hands-on command of paid search and paid social, including owning a meaningful budget, building a channel mix from scratch, and defending where every dollar went and what it returned.
  • Thinks in SQLs, pipeline, CAC, and payback, not impressions and rankings. Able to build the business case for more spend and to recognize when to hand budget back.
  • Active experimentation with citation strategies, structured content for model consumption, or measuring share of voice in answer engines. This cannot be trained on the job.
  • Understanding of site architecture, schema, crawl, and Core Web Vitals sufficient to set priorities, brief a specialist or agency, and tell strong work from weak. Hands-on technical expertise is not required.
  • Ability to distinguish content that earns trust from content that fills a page, with experience working alongside content teams operating at scale.
  • Experience managing agencies and holding them to outcomes, not just deliverables, and judgment on when to stop outsourcing and bring work in-house.
  • Comfort with the limits of attribution and the ability to design tests that produce a defensible read anyway.
  • Makes consequential decisions with incomplete data and prefers building a function from scratch over running one that is already humming.
  • Treats failure as a feedback loop, running experiments, cutting what does not work quickly, and doubling down on what does.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience navigating a major Google algorithm update that materially impacted the business, including diagnosing, adapting, and recovering.
  • Experience running incrementality or geo-holdout testing on paid channels and changing a budget decision based on the results.
  • Understanding of how retrieval-augmented generation systems select and rank sources, and the ability to translate that into actionable content and structural strategy.
  • Hands-on use of AI and automation tools in day-to-day workflows.
  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-sensitive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead paid media programs across paid search, paid social, display and retargeting, and emerging channels, owning the channel mix and CAC and delivering a measurable improvement in cost per qualified pipeline dollar.
  • Manage the full budget cycle: forecasting, pacing, in-quarter reallocation, and the business case for increases, with a clear view of the marginal return of the next dollar in every channel.
  • Run an always-on testing program across creative, audience, offer, bid strategy, and landing-page experience, with clear criteria for what gets cut and what gets scaled.
  • Own the paid conversion path from ad to landing page to form, working with web and lifecycle teams to close the gaps that cost conversion.
  • Direct paid agencies and channel reps to outcomes rather than deliverables, and recommend what is worth bringing in-house.
  • Build the measurement layer, including attribution, incrementality testing, and channel-level reporting that connects spend to MQLs, pipeline, and CAC efficiency, and one integrated view of paid and organic performance.
  • Lead the organic growth strategy, roadmap, and OKRs, growing qualified organic traffic and improving conversion from organic visitors to activated users and pipeline.
  • Build the SPS AEO/GEO playbook, including citation strategy, content structured for model retrieval, and tracking of SPS share of voice in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overviews.
  • Set technical SEO priorities and hold the agency or specialist accountable for delivery, judging the quality of the work and what is worth engineering time.
  • Unify SPS presence across Reddit, G2, YouTube, and other community and review surfaces into one discoverability strategy.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, well-being, and financial security.
  • Annual incentive program eligibility.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
