About The Position

Nemera is seeking a Sr. Design Engineer to contribute to the development of drug delivery and medical products. The role works within multidisciplinary teams to explore concepts, assess feasibility, build and test prototypes, and turn successful concepts into detailed, production-ready designs. The engineer presents technical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office. The stated salary range is $105,000–$125,000 USD. Nemera develops and manufactures drug delivery systems for the pharmaceutical industry, including inhalation, injection, nasal and dermal pump, and ophthalmic delivery devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in product development engineering design.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD.
• Desire to design, build, test, and troubleshoot physical prototypes.
• Attention to detail and ability to collaborate with other disciplines.
• Willingness to learn and seek out answers.

Nice To Haves

• Consulting or contract experience is a plus.
• Experience with SolidWorks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, industrial designers, researchers, interaction designers, and prototyping experts.
• Participate in multidisciplinary innovation sessions to identify possible development directions.
• Work with senior and principal engineers to investigate concept feasibility using analytical methods and iterative physical prototyping.
• Build and test prototypes to characterize performance.
• Translate concept and prototyping work into detailed designs ready for production.
• Present technical output and recommendations clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
