Sr. Design Engineer

Niagara Water•Diamond Bar, CA

About The Position

The Sr. Design Engineer evaluates, analyzes the feasibility of, and optimizes Niagara’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) system designs. These systems include product water and wastewater processing, cooling and chilled water, high- and low-pressure compressed air, steam, HVAC, natural gas, and bottling and injection molding production equipment. The role supports system assessments, utility consumption modeling, plant troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and implementation of improvements. It also creates and maintains system documentation, develops and reviews bid packages, and evaluates, designs, and executes utility system upgrades and plant solutions. Projects may address cooling capacity and flows, compressed-air performance, and efficient sequencing of shared compressors or chillers. The engineer provides onsite startup and commissioning support, adjusts processes, reports on commissioning results, and documents system operating parameters against manufacturer designs. The ideal candidate is comfortable combining office-based design with hands-on troubleshooting and analysis on the manufacturing floor, and working with contractors, vendors, and other departments. The position may require 25% travel. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time.
