About The Position

Total Wine and More is seeking a Sr. Associate of Events who will play a key role in managing our vendor-driven events and activations within our stores. This role works with internal partners on the Wine and Spirits team, as well as directly with our external partners to bring classes & activations to life through organization and strong project management skills. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects. Additional responsibilities include daily administration of the Events Management Platform. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas, lookup functions, PivotTables, and data import and cleaning.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions‑oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • 1–4 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Previous experience in retail, events, or customer‑facing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and project manage in‑store vendor classes and activations (including celebrity appearances, bottle signings, and tasting bar takeovers) in partnership with wine and spirits suppliers.
  • Facilitate event execution with stores, vendors, and external partners, and coordinate marketing efforts, inventory needs, and labor resources.
  • Assess, track, and communicate class fill rates, run of show expectations and event performance through reporting and weekly store communications.
  • Maintain daily administration of the Events Management Platform, including uploading events to the website, resolving technical issues, and identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the store and customer experience.
  • Create and present events‑related updates, insights, and reporting to stakeholders using Microsoft PowerPoint.
