About The Position

St. Dominic High School, a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school serving approximately 1,150 students in grades 9–12 in O’Fallon, Missouri, is seeking a dynamic and organized professional to serve as its Director of Special Events. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting directly to the Director of Advancement and is available for immediate hire. The Director of Special Events is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of school-sponsored events that support the mission and advancement efforts of St. Dominic High School. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, vendors, and benefactors.

Requirements

• Experience in event planning, fundraising, hospitality, advancement, or related fields preferred
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, volunteers, and community stakeholders
• Proficiency with event management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute a variety of special events hosted by the school, including fundraising, donor, alumni, and community events
• Coordinate and manage relationships with event vendors, venues, and service providers
• Recruit, organize, and oversee volunteers before and during events
• Manage event-related software platforms, registrations, and databases
• Cultivate positive relationships with benefactors and supporters in connection with special events
• Assist with the general operations and initiatives of the Advancement Office
• Ensure events are aligned with the mission, values, and standards of St. Dominic High School
• Maintain event budgets, timelines, and logistical planning details
