About The Position

Redfin is seeking a Sr. Analytics Manager to lead a team of analysts covering activation and optimization across Redfin and Rentals. The team improves user-facing product experiences and programs through experimentation, measurement, and analysis focused on engagement, retention, conversion, and inventory outcomes across the for-sale and rentals B2C funnels. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role requiring the manager to lead and develop a large team while shaping analytical methodology, raising quality, and advising senior product and business leaders on complex growth questions. The position leads and coaches 7–8 analytics professionals; owns experimentation and rentals B2C growth analytics; and builds measurement foundations, scalable Snowflake data assets, and self-service Tableau analytics. It partners with Product, Engineering, Design, and Finance, sets analytical strategy for major investments, owns the quarterly analytics roadmap, and embeds appropriate AI practices in the team's workflow. The role is hybrid, with work in the Seattle office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and remote work on other days. Highly qualified candidates residing outside the stated areas may be considered for remote-only work. The compensation range is $170,000–$230,000. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off. • At least 5 years of experience directly leading analytics teams; people leadership at this scale is required.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in A/B and multivariate testing, including experimental design, power and sample sizing, interaction effects, guardrails, and sequential testing.
  • Strong working experience with Snowflake and strong SQL skills, including performance-aware queries, data modeling, and reusable analytical layers.
  • Strong Tableau experience, including building analytical products used by others rather than one-off dashboards.
  • Demonstrated practical use of AI in an analytics workflow, with specific examples of its effects on team speed, quality, or leverage.
  • Strong statistical and causal reasoning, including approaches such as incrementality, quasi-experimental design, and holdouts when randomized testing is not possible.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for analysis.
  • Experience owning funnel, activation, engagement, retention, and conversion measurement for a consumer product.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including a track record of influencing senior product and business leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in marketplaces, real estate, rentals, travel, or another two-sided consumer category where supply and inventory dynamics shape demand.
  • Experience with rentals or subscription B2C growth, including lead quality and monetization measurement.
  • Experience building experimentation platforms, metric layers, or self-service analytics that continued to be used beyond the candidate’s direct involvement.
  • Background in a regulated industry and understanding of how compliance constraints shape testing and targeting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7–8 analytics professionals; set priorities and structure coverage across for-sale and rentals.
  • Own the experimentation program for product activation and optimization, including test design, sample sizing, guardrail metrics, sequential and multivariate approaches, observability, and interpretation of results.
  • Drive measurement and optimization of user-facing product experiences and lifecycle programs to improve engagement, retention, conversion, and inventory outcomes.
  • Own rentals B2C growth analytics across renter acquisition and activation, search and discovery, lead quality, listing and inventory health, and renter-demand and supply-side tradeoffs.
  • Build durable measurement foundations, including KPI frameworks, funnel and cohort diagnostics, dashboards, and a recurring business review rhythm.
  • Design and maintain scalable analytical assets in Snowflake, including modeled datasets, shared metric definitions, and self-service Tableau analytics.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Finance on cross-functional growth problems, and represent analytics in senior forums.
  • Set analytical strategy for major product and growth investments, assessing performance, unit economics, incrementality, and tradeoffs.
  • Own the quarterly analytics roadmap and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
  • Embed AI into team workflows for exploratory analysis, code generation, documentation, and synthesis, with suitable guardrails for a regulated environment.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into analytical plans and results into actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Hire thoughtfully as the team grows and build team capability through coaching and direct feedback.
