About The Position

The Power and Controls Cold Start Supply Chain team in Rockford, Illinois is seeking a Supply Chain Account Associate to support customer proposals and ensure on-time delivery and quality management. The role coordinates across teams to manage contractual compliance, optimize inventory, and achieve strategic outcomes. It involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and presenting findings effectively. The position supports routine processes across one or more supply chain disciplines, assists with proposal development, relays customer dispatch details and execution instructions to internal teams, and handles stakeholder queries. The successful candidate will learn to manage customer proposals, comply with Collins Procedures, the Code of Ethics, and International Trade Compliance regulations, identify systemic performance issues, and propose strategic solutions. The role is hybrid, with regular work both onsite and offsite; the onsite/offsite ratio is determined in partnership with the employee’s leader. An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before the start date, and U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility for that clearance.

Requirements

Typically, a university degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience; alternatively, an advanced degree in a related field or 6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
Must meet the posting’s U.S. Person definition: U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status.
An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before the start date; U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with knowledge of supply chain and/or operations.
Proficiency in SAP systems and standard work practices.
Strong proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

Support routine processes in one or more supply chain disciplines.
Assist internal teams with proposal development.
Take dispatch details from customers and provide internal teams with specific handling and execution instructions.
Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders.
Manage responsibilities across multiple supply chain disciplines on a regular basis.
Perform supply chain activities that cannot be attributed to a defined discipline.
Manage customer proposals to support on-time delivery and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with Collins Procedures, the Code of Ethics, and International Trade Compliance regulations.
Identify systemic issues that affect performance and propose strategic solutions.
