About The Position

This position performs collection responsibilities according to established procedures for various types of customers. It contributes to improved cash flow, fewer delinquencies, reduced Days Sales Outstanding, and limited bad debt exposure. The role manages customer export billing requests and responses and has extensive contact with customers, outside agencies, and internal departments regarding issues that affect payment. The employee must have knowledge of multiple products, services, or business units. The position is based in Bloomingdale, Illinois, and requires commuting to the office. UPS will not sponsor a visa for this role. Candidates must already be in the same geographic location or be willing to relocate independently. The position is permanent.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Prior collections experience.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Basic negotiation skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
Must be in the same geographic location as the position or willing to relocate independently; the position requires commuting to the office.

Responsibilities

Provides excellent customer service.
Responds to customer inquiries within the required service level agreement.
Identifies, prioritizes, and resolves complex issues delaying payment.
Develops, creates, and analyzes collection and accounts receivable reports.
Updates customer and other stakeholder information using various software programs.
Monitors and maintains assigned customer accounts.
Submits recommendations to write off account balances.
Manages customer export billing requests and responses.
