Requirements

  • Technical College/CEGEP diploma in Supply Management or a related field with 12+ years of procurement experience managing complex accounts
  • University degree (preferred) in Supply Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of procurement experience managing complex accounts
  • Understanding of contractual language
  • Ability to propose new and creative solutions
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed expectations
  • Ability to analyze and filter relevant data from various sources
  • Project management skills
  • Very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

  • Knowledge of the aerospace industry (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the supplier relationship – ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts to Production meeting quality, timeliness, and contractual requirements regarding critical and strategic accounts.
  • Act as a strategic leader within the commodity and main point of contact for the suppliers you will manage in regard to commercial and escalated issues.
  • Lead negotiations, and you will coordinate and lead actions pertaining to business continuity and improvement.
  • Build a strong relationship with critical supplier(s).
  • Ensure supplier(s) are conducting business as per contractual requirements.
  • Participate in regular business reviews with supplier to enable efficient two-way communication.
  • Lead critical topics (senior escalation), identify strategic risks, and escalate within the organization.
  • Lead negotiations in partnership with the Strategic Sourcing team.
  • Develop business strategies and business innovations.
  • Manage and resolve client issues.
  • Establish processes for Request for Quotation bid packages.
  • Manage solicitations for new program with New Product Integration team.
