About The Position

INTECON, LLC is seeking a Squadron Operations Training Specialist to support Air Mobility Command (AMC) flying squadrons by building and maintaining flight schedules, tracking training and availability constraints, coordinating with squadron leadership and support offices, and producing required scheduling-related reports and authorizations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a flying squadron, training office, HARM/SARM, aviation resource management, or comparable aviation operations support environment
  • Experience maintaining gradebooks, records, training status, or readiness reporting
  • Ability to manage recurring reports and suspense-driven requirements
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with squadron leadership, scheduling, and external agencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database-driven reporting tool
  • Tier 3 Security Investigation with SECRET eligibility and enrollment in Continuous Vetting required, active SECRET clearance preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in aviation operations, aviation management, training, education, business, or related field of study.
  • 6 or more years of experience in a flying squadron, training office, HARM/SARM, aviation resource management, Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) and GTIMS or future equivalent systems, or experience direct experience in performing training operations for Air Force squadrons.
  • Direct military or civilian experience supporting squadrons in similar roles at one or more performance locations.
  • Experience using GTIMS, ARMS, or current or future equivalent training/readiness systems

Responsibilities

  • Update data in Graduate Training Integration Management System (GTIMS) or future equivalent systems to GTIMS, and locally developed computer database systems as required.
  • Interface with Host Aviation Resource Management (HARM) and Squadron Aviation Resource Management (SARM) personnel to update the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS) or future equivalent systems to ARMS as required.
  • Build, review, and update student/permanent party records, folders and grade books per the applicable Air Force Instructions (AFMAN 11-202V1 and AFMAN 11-2MDSV1), associated MAJCOM Installation supplements, and locally developed guidance. Number of records will vary depending on unit manning/student throughput.
  • Coordinate schedule of classes and exams as required. Coordinate with scheduling and external agencies (SFS/CATM, CES/Emergency Management, OSS, etc.) to ensure crewmembers are scheduled for Crew Resource Management, Instructor Crew Resource Management, Instrument Refresher Course, and any other grounding or pre-deployment training requirements. Number of classes/exams will vary depending on unit manning/student throughput.
  • Perform individual gradebook checks of squadron personnel training and ancillary training requirements. Gradebook checks are performed daily, monthly, and quarterly.
  • In coordination with the Squadron DOT Flight Chief, execute the following tasking: Prepare and execute periodic training/testing plans for approval and scheduling. Coordinate off-site training conferences/seminar attendance. Schedule members for required ground training events IAW squadron unit policies.
  • Provide weekly updates to squadron leadership containing the flight and readiness status of personnel to facilitate tracking of duty status and performance report/decoration accomplishment.
  • Coordinate with the scheduling office to enable maximum training opportunities IAW unit leadership guidance, with scheduling and training being consistent with AFIs.
  • Provide daily tracking of upgrade and continuation training accomplishment for the unit’s Operations Supervisor (or equivalent) as well as weekly summaries for the Operations Officer.
  • Under the guidance and direction of the Squadron DOT Flight Chief, assist in the development of new curriculum and syllabi for aircrew and ground training.
  • Generate the following reports/forms as required: Monthly and quarterly inputs to OST Training each quarter, AF Form 2096, Classification/On-the-Job Training Action, Monthly and semi-annual Non-Mission Ready (NMR) letter for members to be placed in NMR status IAW AFMAN 11-2MDS-V1, Monthly Squadron Training Review Panel (STRP) briefings to the Squadron leadership to include training recommendations and status of training on unit members, 6 Month Training Plan Brief; Prepare this plan IAW AFMAN 11-202V1 and applicable AFMAN 11-2MDS-V1, associated MAJCOM supplements, and local policy and procedures, Monthly Aircrew Probation / Regression Report; Prepare this report IAW AFMAN 11-202V1 and applicable AFMAN 11-2MDS-V1, associated MAJCOM supplements, and local policy and procedures, Semi-annual Proration Consideration Report; Prepare this semiannual report IAW AFMAN 11-202V1 and applicable AFMAN 11-2MDS-V1, associated MAJCOM supplements, and local policy and procedures.
