About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators can negotiate rates with dispatchers and are offered a large number of loads, with dispatchers who have at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates listed are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long-mile loads in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long-mile loads in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Sprinters in Canada. Loads are personalized to match the operator’s preferences. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. Minimum average monthly earnings are described as $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat certification or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a US citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

Russian-speaking drivers are also hired.
Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect earning potential.

Responsibilities

Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
Provide and operate an eligible Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting company loads.
Notify the company before making changes to the vehicle and putting it back on the road.
Provide the vehicle’s registration and insurance.
