About The Position

This role involves writing tickets, processing cash winning tickets, and handling customer inquiries and disputes. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing excellent customer service, ensuring all patrons feel welcome and valued. This includes engaging in friendly conversations, patiently explaining wagering processes to new customers, and maintaining a compliant work environment according to Gaming Control Board reporting requirements. The position also requires adherence to uniform policies, prompt reporting of customer experience issues, and undertaking additional tasks as needed to support sportsbook operations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Writes tickets and processes cash winning tickets
  • Handles customer questions and disputes
  • Counts cash at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Ensures all customers are made to feel welcome at all times
  • Carries out engaging conversations and provides friendly service to customers
  • Shows patience with customers who do not wager regularly and explains how wagering works
  • Works in a compliant environment and adheres to Gaming Control Board reporting requirements
  • Calls for MTL support when writing bets requiring MTL paperwork
  • Adheres to Uniform Policy and ensures good standard of personal presentation
  • Anticipates and acts on the needs of the customer, seeks and responds to feedback
  • Ensures all issues affecting the customer experience in the sports book are reported promptly
  • Undertakes additional tasks contributing to the operations of the sports book, as requested
