About The Position

A Sportsbook Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day activities of the sportsbook, ensuring efficient operations and a high level of guest service. This role involves supervising, training, and mentoring sportsbook ticket writers, addressing and resolving guest issues, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies, including gaming laws and anti-money laundering protocols. The supervisor will monitor the ticket-writing process for accuracy, assist with daily reporting and financial transactions, and maintain accurate records. Additionally, the role includes assisting in creating and managing team schedules, supporting promotional activities and special events, and providing feedback to management on operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and pass math assessment.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull to 25 lbs.
  • Requires bending, stooping and reaching from floor level to approximately 6 feet high
  • Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
  • Possess effective learning skills.
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.

  • Prior experience in sportsbook operations or a similar role within the gaming industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the sportsbook, ensuring efficient operations and a high level of guest service.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor sportsbook ticket writers, ensuring they adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service.
  • Address and resolve any guest issues or disputes promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive guest experience.
  • Ensure that sportsbook operations comply with all regulatory and company policies, including gaming laws and anti-money laundering protocols.
  • Monitor the ticket-writing process to ensure accuracy in bets, payouts, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with daily reporting, handle financial transactions, and maintain accurate records of bets placed and payouts made.
  • Assist in creating and managing team schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Support sportsbook promotional activities, special events, and marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Provide feedback to management on operational improvements and contribute ideas to enhance the guest experience.
  • Must be able to use a computer and relevant software for job-related tasks.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to handle transactions and record-keeping with high accuracy.
  • A solid understanding of sports betting types, odds, and sportsbook technology.
  • Familiarity with gaming regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Responsibility for understanding and adhering to all company and gaming compliance requirements.
