About The Position

The Sportsbook Cashier provides customer service by accepting wagers on sports events, verifying and cashing winning tickets, and helping guests with questions about sports wagering. The role uses the company’s sports computer system to generate and cash tickets, maintains an accurate bank, and completes required company, tax, and gaming-regulation records and forms. The cashier also makes copies of daily betting sheets and scratch sheets and follows company, departmental, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior cash-handling experience is required.
• Must be able to process wagers using the company’s computer/software systems.
• Must have excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of prior Race & Sports wagering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept wagers for various sports events and verify and cash winning Sports tickets.
• Understand and accept various types of sports wagers, acknowledging limits on all propositions.
• Assist guests with questions about sports wagering.
• Use the sports computer system to generate tickets and cash winning tickets.
• Retrieve, verify, and maintain the accuracy of the bank.
• Complete all required company, tax, and gaming-regulation records and forms accurately and thoroughly.
• Make copies of daily betting sheets and scratch sheets.
• Perform duties in accordance with company, departmental, and regulatory guidelines.
