Sportsbar Cashier/Host Food
About The Position
The Sportsbar Cashier/Host greets and escorts guests to their tables and accepts restaurant payments using a computerized cash register while maintaining an accurate bank. The role supports courteous, efficient restaurant service by providing menus and information about specials, coordinating service personnel, and monitoring the dining room’s cleanliness and safety-code compliance. The employee may resolve customer complaints or refer them to the restaurant manager and maintains shift records related to guests served, employee absences, and food-service equipment problems.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods during a shift.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests and escort them to their tables.
- Provide menus and inform guests of specials.
- Accept payments from restaurant guests using a computerized cash register.
- Operate the register to itemize and process guest checks according to established procedures.
- Maintain an accurate bank at all times.
- Circulate through the restaurant and coordinate service personnel to provide fast and courteous customer service.
- Assign breaks to bus persons and food servers.
- Inspect and monitor room cleanliness and compliance with safety and health code regulations.
- Resolve customer complaints or refer them to the restaurant manager.
- Maintain records of guests served during the shift, employee absences, and food-service equipment problems.
