About The Position

The Primos Food Cashier/Host greets and escorts guests to their tables, provides menus, and informs guests of specials. The role accepts restaurant guest payments using a computerized cash register and maintains an accurate bank. It also coordinates service personnel, monitors the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant, handles or refers customer complaints, and maintains shift-related records.

Requirements

• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods during a shift.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a cashier/host is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to their tables.
• Provide menus and inform guests of specials.
• Circulate through the restaurant and coordinate service personnel to provide fast and courteous customer service.
• Assign breaks for bus persons and food servers.
• Inspect and monitor room cleanliness and compliance with safety and health code regulations.
• Resolve customer complaints or refer them to the restaurant manager.
• Maintain records of the number of guests served during the shift, employee absences, and equipment or food service problems.
• Operate a computerized cash register to itemize and process guest checks according to established procedures.
• Maintain an accurate bank at all times.
