About The Position

Multnomah Athletic Club is hiring a full-time, fully on-site Sports Pub Lead Line Cook for its casual dining restaurant, The Sports Pub. The cook prepares food according to established recipes, sets up and organizes a station, preps daily ingredients, and maintains a clean workspace that meets health department regulations. The role follows safety procedures and the club’s code of conduct while contributing to a positive dining experience for members. The position requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability, as well as standing for long shifts in high-temperature environments and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

At least one year of experience as a line cook or in a similar position.
Valid food-handler’s permit.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Knowledge of culinary techniques, knife handling, and sanitation.
Proficiency using kitchen equipment and understanding of sanitation practices.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Friendly demeanor and ability to build strong relationships with coworkers.
Ability to stand for long shifts 100% of the time in high-temperature environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Culinary arts degree.
