About The Position

McMenamins Hillsdale Pub is hiring a Line Cook. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington, serving handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside pub fare. Line cooks handle tasks throughout kitchen opening and closing, including preparing and presenting hot and cold food such as salads, sandwiches, pastas, appetizers, pizzas, weekly specials, and sauté and grill items. Each cook organizes and cleans their work area. The role involves physical work, mental agility, and multitasking in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain a current food handlers' card.
• Enjoy working in a busy, customer service-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cooking experience is preferred.
• A flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle kitchen tasks from opening through closing.
• Prepare and present hot and cold food products, including salads, sandwiches, pastas, appetizers, pizzas, weekly specials, and sauté and grill items.
• Organize and clean the assigned work area.
• Work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
