About The Position

The Sports & Fitness Operations Assistant supports the Operations Leader at the Blankenbaker campus by maintaining equipment and preparing fields and courts for leagues and ministry programs. This behind-the-scenes role helps the Sports & Fitness Ministry run smoothly and serve people well.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter who understands the importance of behind-the-scenes work.
• Be teachable and eager to grow in all areas of ministry.
• Be flexible and available for evening and weekend activities as needed.
• Be able to perform regular physical labor, including lifting and carrying 25–50 lbs and frequent walking, standing, bending, and stooping.
• Be an engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or be willing to become one.
• Exemplify the staff values of Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun.
• Lead by example in fulfilling staff expectations for groups, inviting, serving, worship, and giving.
• Agree with the Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and live out the church Mantras in tangible ways.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fields for outdoor sports leagues and help maintain sports equipment.
• Set up and prepare courts for indoor leagues and other ministry programs.
• Write content for team challenges.
• Build connections with sports and fitness participants and other Southeast staff.
• Staff league events.
