About The Position
Deaconess Home Health, a faith-based, full-service health care organization, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to provide in-home care in Evansville, Indiana, serving Posey, Vanderburgh, Warrick, Spencer, and Gibson counties. The Speech Therapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The role includes developing individualized treatment plans and collaborating with families and other healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes. The position is PRN and has no after-hours on-call requirements. NestMed is used for AI documentation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active registered Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice and ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, which must be maintained.
- One year of Speech Therapy experience in a clinical setting.
- Current driver’s license.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home therapy to improve patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills.
- Customize therapy strategies to meet individual patient goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment goals, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Train and support family members in therapeutic exercises and strategies for use at home.
